| How to Record Video With Your iPhone 3G S

Step One
Press to launch the Camera app from your iPhone SpringBoard.


Step Two
Move the slider at the bottom right of the screen to select Movie mode.


Step Three
Press the screen to select the object you would like to focus on then tap the record button.


Step Four
Notice that a record timer will appear and the record light will start flashing. Press the record button again to stop recording.


Step Five
Once finished recording to view your recorded video simply press the thumbnail at the bottom left of the screen.


Step Six
Press the large play button in the center of the screen to view the video recorded.


Step Seven
Notice the scrub bar at the top of screen. You can drag the scrubber from to skip through the video.


Step Eight
Drag the handles at the left and right of the scrub bar to set in and out points for the clip. You can then press the Trim button to trim the video.


Step Nine
To share the video with a friend press the Share icon at the bottom left of the screen.


Step Ten
From the popup menu you can choose to share the clip via Email, MMS, MobileMe, or YouTube



How to Use Voice Control on Your iPhone 3G S

VOICE CONTROL BASICS

To activate Voice Control press and hold the Home button until the Voice Control screen appears on screen.

Call a Contact From Your Address Book
Say Call or Dial then say the name of the person. If the contact has more then one number you can follow up with the type of number. For example, say Call George Mobile.


Dial a Number
Say Call or Dial then say the number. For example, say Call 1 800 123 4567.


Make a Correction
If the Voice Control system got your command wrong you can make a correction by saying Wrong, Not That One, Not That, No, or Nope


Control Music Playback
You can use the Voice Control feature to control your iPod.
- To start playing say, Play or Play Music.
- To pause playing say, Pause or Pause Music
- To navigate through songs say Next Song and Previous Song

To specify what music to play you can use these commands:
- Play Album then the name of the album
- Play Artist then the name of the artist
- Play Playlist then the name of the playlist

To shuffle the current playlist simply say Shuffle

- What Song is This
- Who Sings This Song
- Who is This Song By

If you would like to use the Genius feature to find similar songs say,
- Genius Play More Like This

Cancel Voice Control
To cancel Voice Control simply say, Cancel



HOW TO SET VOICE CONTROL LANGUAGE
To change the language used by Voice Control follow these steps.

Press to select Settings from your iPhone SpringBoard.


Press to choose General from the list of Settings Categories


Tap to select International from the General Settings menu


Select Voice Control from the International Preferences menu


Tap to choose your desired language from the Voice Control screen.




PREVENT VOICE DIALING FROM LOCK SCREEN
You can disable access to voice control when the iPhone is locked. Follow these instructions.

Press to select Settings from your iPhone SpringBoard.


Tap to choose General from the list of Settings Categories


Select Passcode Lock from the General Settings


Enter your Passcode when prompted


Move the Voice Dial switch to the OFF position.

How to Show Battery Percentage on Your iPhone 3G S

Step One
Press to launch Settings from your iPhone SpringBoard.


Step Two
Tap to select General from the Settings menu.


Step Three
Press to select Usage from the General menu.


Step Four
Move the Battery Percentage switch to the ON position. Notice the remain battery life will be displayed at the top right of the screen in percentage form.

How to Connect and Use a Bluetooth Keyboard With Your iPhone [BTstack]

Step One
Launch Cydia by tapping its icon on your Springboard.


Step Two
Press to select the Sections tab.


Step Three
Press to choose Networking from the list of Sections.


Step Four
Press to select BTstack Keyboard from the list of Packages.


Step Five
Press the Purchase button at the top right of the screen. BTstack Keyboard costs $5.00 and can be bought using Paypal or Amazon Payments. Once the payment has been processed press the button at the top right which has now been changed to Install.


Step Six
Press the Confirm button to begin installation.


Step Seven
Once the installation has successfully completed press the large Restart Springboard button.


Step Eight
You will notice a new icon on the Springboard called Keyboard. Press it to launch the app.


Step Nine
You will likely be notified that Apple's Bluetooth is active. Only one Bluetooth Stack can be active at the same time. Since the keyboard will only work with the BTstack press the OK button to activate this stack.


Step Ten
The app will now search for your keyboard. You must make the keyboard discoverable in order for it to be located. On the Apple Wireless Keyboard you can hold down the power button until the led blinks repeatedly. For other keyboards, check the user manual.


Press to select the device you would like to pair.


Step Eleven
Once the device has been connected you will be prompted to enter a pin number using the keyboard then press ENTER.


Step Twelve
You will now be informed that you're connected with the keyboard. You can use the text field provided to test it out or open any other application to begin typing.




Step Thirteen
Notice the Springboard icon will display an On badget when BTstack Keyboard is running. You can open the application and press the Disconnect button for your keyboard to end the connection.
